Be Green On The Dance Floor!
I would say that its about time that a means of alternative energy be developed and put to use in a recreational sense. Sustainable Dance Club, a company in Rotterdam, is working on opening the first sustainable dance club, Club Watt, in London this September. This dance club will be equipped with a dance floor that converts your dance moves into electricity to power the clubs lights, music, etc. Pretty wild right? Club Watt plans to reduce their energy consumption by up to 30% and their water and waste by 50%!
Check out this video and keep an eye out for technology like this in your area, I have a feeling its going to start showing up a lot in the clubbing community.

hehe, I really do think this is the future of dance clubs and music venues. Its a great way to get the younger generation involved in caring for the environment. Everytime I watch this video it gives me chills, I cant wait till we see this here in the states.

Genius....it's a good test for the DJ....if you don't get the place jumping....you're power goes off!!
A worry for the future of other genres though....line dancing would get through OK, but pity the poor shoegazers!!
