- Mal Kukura is an Australian born writer, designer, independent
philosopher and engineer who became a resident of the US in 1973 and
was involuntarily exiled after years of struggle, in 2005. In 1996 he
founded ATI Foundation Inc. to lead the formation of a planetary
sustainable habitat alliance to prove via community design and
construction practice the viability of world class renewable energy
