i hate money, the thought of it makes me want to set myself on fire in protest... but i'm happy to be alive and think i can get more done that way too so i made this group to help pool resources for positive change

Why theWUN Fund?

theWUN operated the entirety of its first year on less than $50, not by choice but by neccesity, i hope we can change that this year with some donations from our membership. i ask you only to donate your money if you are able, what is most appreciated is your time and your support, YOU are theWUN, don't ever forget it, this is all of our chance to be the change we wish to see in the world, so you've got to tell some people about it! That's all, and if you've got the funds to spare please donate $3.65 (or as much as you can part with) to our cause, if enough people hear about this and join us we'll have plenty of resources to make our revolution reality! peace!

3 things that could use funding ASAP

1. $5 / month to move our network to our domain name (this url would be http://www.worldunificationnetwork.org/group/thewunfund instead of http://worldunificationnetwork.ning.com/group/thewunfund

2. $19.95 / month from Ning.com to remove all ads from our networks!

3. PEACEfest has had almost ZERO official planning done because there simply are NO resources to speak of at WUN hq (my house) this is the most urgent of all (in my opinion) i wish i wasn't poor but i am, and with a baby due in less than a month i'm pretty sure i'm NOT going to be able to find the extra cash to make a global peace festival happen without some help. I intend all events that i organize and produce to be FREE TO ATTEND / FREE TO PLAY and hope to build enough buzz about our page and events to basically make them happen as big as i envision as the word spreads and more people participate, hoping that we've created such a sensation by the end of the summer and closer to september that Rage Against the Machine, 311, and our other favorite bands realize that they would be stupid and/or hypocrites to turn down a headlining act at the worlds first global peace holiday extravaganza of, by, and, for ALL of the people of earth. The end.

Comment by iYou on May 13, 2008 at 6:12pm: everything is always up for discussion if you've got better ideas how to do things, but i envision theWUN fund eventually being the world's bank account, that is literally shared by everyone in a way that is fair and logical, democratically distributed (not like USA democracy though, i mean real democracy!)
