What if we united into an ideal instead of dividing into smaller groups?
What if we stop trying to fix the old system and start engineering a new one now?
What if we had made a solar panel for every missile we made?
What if we abolished corporations and everybody had 1 vote?
What if every death and deception resource is put towards life?
What if surveillance and tracking was required for public service?
What if the halls of government were virtual and publically conducted?
What if all elections were internet based and done freely every year?
What if important public issues were solved openly on the internet?
What if the databases were for all public funds and accountings?
What if numbering a person was taboo and we only had 1 name?
What if everybody had a plot of land and built houses to get it?
What if children grew gardens and playgrounds were everywhere?
Was if medical schools were everywhere and open 24/7 to all?
What if everybody was a deputy and priest with their jurisdiction extending as far as their fingertips?
What if school was a 24/7 free globally updating networked program and all were free to learn any subject from the best teachers?
What if everyone received a million credits at birth and then used them for life?
What if barter and trade was the norm and life cash was only a fixed value set of personal credit used to participate in services requested?

Did ya notice yet....WHAT IF's just don't count, kinda like your VOTE

If ya want a "what if" that will change the world as we have been brainwashed to believe in.....WHAT IF there were no.."ILLEGAL" DRUG WAR? this one thing is the only thing that keeps the flock believing in the powers that are taking over our peace and FREEDOM...It is the financing for "all gang" related, (bush gang included) street and world violence. until the 'flock' can overcome the lies of this war...no other "WHAT IF" is going to make a difference.

You exist, so you are empowered. There are no prerequisites to speaking you mind and living your life in a way that reflects your beliefs. The only reason nothing is done is that the vast majority of people don't know somethings wrong, and the people who do are apparently online talking about whats wrong with other people who think somethings wrong. I don't know what is the sense of the world down there, but here, and maybe everywhere, people are comfortable in ignorance. I believe that every person on Earth is essentially the same. But I can only really help in my community. Treat everyone with respect, especially those that don't treat you with respect, take responsibility for your self, and be outspoken about what is right and wrong. Be an example, not an exception. I think that people of our generally shared perspective are too comfortable being categorized. Don't be defined. When we apply labels to others, or to ourselves, we create unnecessary divisions. We can erase those. That's my 2 cents.

thanks for the reply.

i guess a better way to put is this: i live how i should, others do not. how do we convince others to change?

it seems there have been people like us talking like this for decades. still the power structures are in place and it seems they are getting stronger. there must be more we do then talk.

I think that people have a fundamentally flawed perception of the world, due to lack of knowledge. We need to fill in some gaps in their knowledge. Subliminally if possible. Not sure how yet but when i find out, I probably won't write it on the freakin' internet for you know who to see. Because you know who is definitely looking. It is in their vested interest to have a dumb populace to use at their discretion, under the guise of democracy. People will always make the 'right' decisions when they have the 'right' information. I'd like to supplement that with real information. I think that is what will make people mad enough to wake up. Do what works in your area and spread it among people you know locally.

To this I say there IS more we can do and change has happened. Things are far from perfect but we've come a long way. If you look back to the 60's and 70's, popular struggle enacted the civil rights act and equal rights for women and the EPA (we can thank Nader for this one) and many other things of which 10 years prior no one could conceive. As bad as things are, we are much more civilized due to popular struggle. The results don't happen overnight, but they happen and the more we mobilize and stand in solidarity, the more change happens. Take a quick glance at Latin America. Those countries live in far less priviledge than the people in the US and they've effected enormous amounts of change. Chavez is a democratically elected leader that comes from the working class sect. No one ever heard of a leader coming from anything other than the elite class. Brazil was ruled by a dictatorship, but popular struggle changed that to a democratic society. When Bechtel moved into Bolivia and privatized water making it illegal to capture rain water in a poverty stricken society, the peasants were not having it and they protested hard. Twenty one people were injured, one killed, but they kicked the crap out of giant Bechtel, who pulled out, and they got their water back. They didn't check with anyone on what to do, they just did it. I think if anything, we suffer from too much priviledge and it immobilizes us. There is no quick fix but we have every opportunity in the world and we are still the most free society therefore we can effect the most change. I will tell you, a brief discussion with Congressman Gilchrest was one of the most important encounters I had while I was in DC. He said if people were doing in the 50's what we're doing now (protesting on Iraq and Iran) Vietnam would have never happened. That made my soul sing.

Its hard to convince the masses as they believe the propaganda they are fed on FOX, MSNBC, CNN etc. so go to the place that makes the laws and demand transparancy in the govt. Demand that they explain to you why they support toxic legislation and let them know they will NOT have a job if they don't represent what their constituents want. Its so much fun to watch them squirm, I promise.

Hi Maiki-T

I just posted in the forum an issue of great concern and something that needs a quick response. I spent all of last week in DC visiting congress people and senators (some were very interactive, others are unresponsive) but it is very empowering to see how these people respond when they are face to face with their constituents. Some of them were incredibly encouraging and emphasize the importance of keeping the pressure on legislators. Calling your reps or visiting them is more useful than you might realize (they work for us and need to be reminded regularly). If you have friends that share your ideals, gather them together and go visit your congress person. Visit as often as possible. I've not been nearly as angry since I made the decision to go to DC and I'm much more motivated to continue this at home here in Ft. Lauderdale. We have more power than they would like us to know. Use it

In peace
Devon

Dear Maiki-t,

For me is music also a huge source of power.
I think the power we need to change things is in the fact that we try it with a whole number of people.
If we try to work as a sort of a "Lone Ranger", I don't thinks we can accomplish a lot. But when we are united by the same ideas and if we proclaim our ideas as a group, we have more power to change certain systems.

Kind Regards,
Jurgen
